When accessing this website, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as listed on this page. You are responsible for compliance with all of these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of the terms as outlines, you are prohibited from using this site in its entirety. All of the content on this site is protected by copyright law. If any of these Terms and Conditions require further clarification please use the contact me form here before using the site.

All of the content of this website are provided “as is”. All reasonable effort has been made to ensure the content provided is accurate and of a high standard, though it is possible that resources may contain errors. If you do notice an error, you can bring it to my attention using the contact me form here. I aim to have all errors brought to my attention rectified in a timely manner.

All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the security of the content of the materials but we offer no additional warranties (outside those already provided by law) and cannot guarantee that a virus, or anything else with destructive properties, will not result from the use of the website or materials. Any material obtained by you from us, by using materials, is done so at your own risk on the understanding that you are solely responsible for any damage to your computer system that may result.

User license

All the material displayed on the website belongs to Bright-maths.co.uk and may be used by subscribers.

The right to use the materials ceases when a subscription expires and any 'saved' resources must be deleted.

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials on Bright-Maths.co.uk’s web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not: use the materials for any commercial purpose; attempt to reverse engineer any content contained on Bright-Maths.co.uk’s web site; remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.

You may retrieve and display the content on a computer screen or projection, print pages on paper and save pages in electronic form on disk (but not on any server or storage device linked to an external network).

You may not create a database or 'collection' in electronic or manual form, by systematically downloading (or editing) any or all of the content. You may not reproduce or in any way commercially exploit any of the content. 

Personal Yearly Plan

If you purchase a personal subscription to our site this enables you to access all of the resources for use in your own classroom.

You may not redistribute any of the content or supply it to other people. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing your login details with colleagues, sending out digital copies, saving digital copies to shared areas or sharing hard copies of printed resources.

 

School Yearly Plan

If you purchase a school subscription to our site this enables access to all of our resources for the teachers within your department. You may also include our resources in schemes of work stored on your school network. However we recommend that you provide a link to the resource rather than storing a local copy because it is highly likely that all of our resources will be updated and improved in the future. We try not to change the link address of our resources once posted.

You may not redistribute any of the content or supply it to other people outside of your institution.

All plans

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Bright-Maths.co.uk at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

We aim to provide a great value service to teachers and schools, but we do rely on the income from subscriptions to continue the running of the site and appreciate your support. If you think others would find our resources useful, please don't share your username and password or send them a local copy of the content. Please encourage others to the website and sign up.

Privacy policy

1. Data protection principles Bright-Maths.co.uk is committed to processing data in accordance with its responsibilities under the GDPR. Article 5 of the GDPR requires that personal data shall be: a. processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to individuals; b. collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes; further processing for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes shall not be considered to be incompatible with the initial purposes; c. adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed; d. accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; every reasonable step must be taken to ensure that personal data that are inaccurate, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay; e. kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals; and f. processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.” 2. General provisions a. This policy applies to all personal data processed by Bright-Maths.co.uk. b. Alison Jagger shall take responsibility for Bright-Maths.co.uk ongoing compliance with this policy. c. This policy shall be reviewed at least annually. d. Bright-Maths.co.uk shall register with the Information Commissioner’s Office as an organisation that processes personal data. 3. Lawful, fair and transparent processing a. To ensure its processing of data is lawful, fair and transparent, Bright-Maths.co.uk maintain a Register of Systems. b. The Register of Systems shall be reviewed at least annually. c. Individuals have the right to access their personal data and any such requests made to Bright-Maths.co.uk shall be dealt with in a timely manner. 4. Lawful purposes a. All data processed by Bright-Maths.co.uk must be done on one of the following lawful bases: consent, contract, legal obligation, vital interests, public task or legitimate interests (see ICO guidance for more information). b. Bright-Maths.co.uk shall note the appropriate lawful basis in the Register of Systems. c. Where consent is relied upon as a lawful basis for processing data, evidence of optin consent shall be kept with the personal data. d. Where communications are sent to individuals based on their consent, the option for the individual to revoke their consent should be clearly available and systems should be in place to ensure such revocation is reflected accurately in Bright-Maths.co.uk systems. 5. Data minimisation a. Bright-Maths.co.uk shall ensure that personal data are adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed. 6. Accuracy a. Bright-Maths.co.uk shall take reasonable steps to ensure personal data is accurate. b. Where necessary for the lawful basis on which data is processed, steps shall be put in place to ensure that personal data is kept up to date. 7. Archiving / removal a. To ensure that personal data is kept for no longer than necessary, Bright-Maths.co.uk shall put in place an archiving policy for each area in which personal data is processed and review this process annually. b. The archiving policy shall consider what data should/must be retained, for how long, and why. 8. Security a. Bright-Maths.co.uk shall ensure that personal data is stored securely using modern software that is kept-up-to-date. b. Access to personal data shall be limited to personnel who need access and appropriate security should be in place to avoid unauthorised sharing of information. c. When personal data is deleted this should be done safely such that the data is irrecoverable. d. Appropriate back-up and disaster recovery solutions shall be in place. 9. Breach In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, the Company shall promptly assess the risk to people’s rights and freedoms and if appropriate report this breach to the ICO (more information on the ICO website). Payments and Cancellation

The price quoted on the 'Subscription' page is in UK pounds.

Access to the materials will be arranged once a purchase order or full payment has been received. We will request certain information from you to process your order, this will be treated as confidential and will be used for the sole purpose of providing our service to you. Details will not be disclosed to a third party unless we are required to do so by law. See our privacy policy above.

If you choose to pay via invoice, access to the website will only be granted once we receive a valid purchase order. You will have 30 days to pay in full from the date the invoice is issued. Failure to make the payment within the 30-day period will result in a 10% late fee being added to the outstanding amount.

For schools which are part of a trust or ‘merged’ school, a subscription is required for each campus/site of use unless multiple site use is arranged prior to purchase with Bright.

If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, refunds or partial refunds will be considered on a case by case basis and at the discretion of Bright. We reserve the right to refuse refund requests. We reserve the right to end this agreement at any time if you are in breach of the terms and conditions set out here. Notice can be given in writing to end the agreement with us at any time but unless we are in breach of our obligations to you, you will not be entitled to any refund of the fee paid by you.
